A brownfield site at the gateway to Camborne is being marketed for sale by independent property adviser GVA on behalf of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

The 2.9 acre Trevenson Gateway site in Pool has outline planning consent for a mixed use scheme including hotel, office and residential properties, and a purchaser or development partner is now being sought to bring the site forward.

Close to Pool Innovation Centre and to Heartlands Park, this is a high profile site in an area that has already been the subject of significant regeneration.

The Trevenson Gateway site, at the East Hill Junction in Pool, benefits from the £5million road improvement scheme connecting it to Trevenson Road, linking to Camborne and Redruth. The A30 is less than 1km to the north.

James Petherick of GVA’s Land and Development team says, “This is a highly prominent site that is strategically important to the continued regeneration of this part of Cornwall. Outline planning has been received for up to 7,500 sq m of hotel, offices, 28 apartments and retail, and we are anticipating the Local Planning Authority will require a scheme of a strong visual presence, such is the profile of the site.

“This area has already seen significant investment, including the world heritage site at Heartlands Park, and the Pool Innovation Centre.”

Offers are invited for the site – either as an unconditional land purchase or developer agreement - by 1pm on Wednesday, October 16.
