Falmouth inshore lifeboat was called out in the early hours of Saturday morning after a tender broke down in the Penryn River.
Falmouth Coastguard requested that Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat be launched following a call from the occupant of a tender reporting it had broken down off Trevissome House and that he required assistance.
The Inshore Lifeboat launched from her slipway at 3.20am and having crossed the Inner Harbour headed up the Penryn River arriving on scene at 3.26am.
The tender was soon located with its occupant holding onto the side of a moored yacht. The owner was taken on board the Inshore Lifeboat and with the tender in tow to the slipway below Trevissome House where they were safely landed at 3.42am.
The Inshore Lifeboat was back on its slipway by 3.58am where it was refuelled, rehoused and ready for service by 4.08am.
