A taste of Italy will come to Helston this Saturday (October 5) when the town welcomes an Italian market.

In the past Meneage Street has hosted a continental market but this time it is Coinagehall Street that will be the venue for this exclusively Italian event - the first of its kind in the town.

The Helston Business Improvement Partnership has invited Medfood London Italian Market, a business set up by two brothers who began by preparing Mediterranean food during the evenings and then selling it during the day.

It has grown to become a large scale business that has taken part in major food festivals and trade shows such as Grand Design, BBC Good Food Show and the Ideal Home Show.

The market, which will run between 10am and 4pm, will feature a number of stalls selling various cheeses such as parmigiano reggiano, salami and other meats, cannoli , ciabatta breads, nougat and biscuits, nuts, packed pastas, olives and extra virgin olive oils.

The stalls will be easily identifiable by their red, white and green branding, and will be decorated with flags.
