Almost 250 Coastline Housing customers attended an annual away day at Paradise Park in Hayle when they were invited to give their views on various aspects of their landlord’s services.

The event proved extremely popular with old and young alike, with hundreds of residents from towns including Helston, Redruth and Camborne, putting their names into the draw for a “golden ticket” to attend the event.

On arrival at the park each customer was given a welcome pack with guides and information about the day. Before spending an afternoon with the birds and animals, guests visited Coastline’s consultation zones in the jungle barn to give their thoughts on topics including welfare reform, neighbourhood standards and social media.

Claire Reeves, neighbourhood and involvement manager at Coastline, said: “The event was a great success, and we’ve had some really good feedback. It was great that our customers were able to talk with us while enjoying a wonderful day out at Paradise Park too.”

Customers also had the chance to talk with Kernow Credit Union and Barclays Bank about issues such as setting up a bank account, budgeting or saving. Claire added: “We’re always looking for new ways to get people of all ages involved with shaping our services and improving their neighbourhoods. Events like this give us a chance to talk to people about their ideas, hopes and wishes.”
