The Rotary Club of Falmouth has presented graduation certificates to three young men it sponsored for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.
Matthew Angove and Harley Thompson, who work at Pendennis Shipyard, and Matthew Carney, of Holiday Cornwall, had completed a week-long residential course on Dartmoor alongside 37 other candidates from Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly and south Devon.
The course involved an intensive programme of outdoor activities and tasks aimed at developing team building skills and a series of projects and lectures delivered by high achievers from the local community.
All the candidates were sponsored by Rotary Clubs or employers and were selected for their future leadership potential. Matthew, Harley and Matthew were presented with their certificates at a ceremony held at the Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth.
