Witches and wizards will descend on the Penryn campus at Tremough at the end of the month as students, children and local residents take part in a Hallowe’en Fun Run to raise money for Cornwall Hospice Care.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Falmouth, the fun run is open to all. Participants can run, jog or walk one or two miles around the campus grounds and fancy dress is optional but definitely encouraged. As part of the registration fee everyone will receive a witch’s hat.

Clare Bray, community fundraiser from Cornwall Hospice Care, said: “We want to fill Penryn Campus with as many witches and ghouls as possible. It will be a fun evening and all in aid of a great local cause.

“The evening will kick off with a junior race at 5.45pm and then the second race will start at 7pm. Both races will begin with a fun and lively warm up to get everyone in the mood.”

To register to take part, go to www.cornwallhospicecare.co.uk or call the fundraising office on 01726 66868. Registration is £10 per adult or £5 for children.
