A Helston nursery fun day had a good turnout to raise £340 despite “drizzly and dank” weather.
The Parents in Partnership group of Lizard CHILD Trust said there was “still a lot to do” when the event was forced to move inside, including face painting, biscuit decoration, and drawing, as well as parents’ home made cakes and barbecue food to enjoy.
While the bad weather meant the bouncy castle could not be inflated, there was a disco from a Helston DJ and entertainment from children’s entertainer Tarquin and his balloon modelling Helston businesses, parents and friends generously provided raffle prizes, all in order to raise funds for a £1500 all weather protective sail outside the building.
