Firefighters raced to Lower Carvolth, Praze, this morning after reports of a "serious" house fire.
CFRS received the call just before 4am, with two appliances from Camborne andn a water carrier from Helston sent to the scene.
The water carrier was sent as water supplies in the area are known to be limited.
A spokesman said: "On arrival of crews a serious fire in a large property had developed on the ground floor. It was extinguished by crews wearing four breathing apparatus sets using a hose reel and jet.
Western Power was called out to make the electrical supply safe.
The spokesman aded that no one was injured due to the fire, which is believed to be "accidental".
