Wild seas, heavy rain and a massive storm are not everyone's idea of perfect sporting day out, but for the Cornwall Wave Classic event at Gwithian at the weekend it all added up to perfect conditions for the country's top windsurfers.
The scene was set for some sunny, wet and windy days, with the event kicking off at Marizion on Friday, before it moved to the north coast at Gwithian for Saturday.
Saturday delivered hefty waves and plenty of wind, with things stepping up a notch further on Sunday as the forecast storm approached. The event moved to the Bluff at Hayle river mouth for Sunday grand finale.
