Porthleven and District RNLI members made £179 last week with a fundraiser in Breage.
On November 20 the group raised £114 with a one off raffle at the Queen’s Arms pub, during the regular monthly quiz night, before the pub donated an additional £65 generated by the quiz itself.
Jean Howard, Porthleven and District RNLI press officer, said: “Generally it is within Porthleven that fund raising is carried out so this was a chance to be in part of its district. It is a well supported event and with RNLI members helping to swell the numbers it was a superb evening.
“Our thanks go to all who attended the event and also to our generous hosts Ian Davis and Samantha and Don Parker. We hope to be able to do this again in the future.”
