The cream of Cornwall’s wedding industry has been honoured at the second Cornish Brides Awards held in Truro.

More than 200 entries were whittled down to a final 48, in 13 categories from wedding venue of the year to wedding cake designer.

Biggest winners of the night were Partini Balloons from Bodmin, which won the venue styling of the year award and the coveted bridal business of the year trophy.

There were also several winners who successfully defended their titles from last year, including Lavender Rose of Penryn which retained the bridal boutique of the year award, Falmouth’s Sally Orchard Make-up Artist won the bridal beauty stylist(s) of the year award once more, and English Rose Wedding Stationery of Wadebridge took home the wedding stationer of the year award for the second consecutive year.

Judges took into consideration comments and feedback from brides and customers, the number of votes amassed during the open voting periods, websites and social media platforms, plus feedback obtained from mystery client visits and calls.
