Members of the Trust’s security, counter fraud and police team were in action at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro to promote Anti-Crime Awareness Day.

PC George Torrance, local security management specialist Paul Dixon and counter fraud specialist Gareth Cottrell were all manning the Trelawny entrance stall handing out leaflets, personal safety alarms and other crime prevention material.

Advice was also provided to passing staff and visitors about protecting themselves and the NHS from crime.

Mr Dixon said: “The aim of the event was to get people to think about security of possessions, finances, information and personal safety. We were delighted by the number of people that stopped to talk to us and the amount of interest they all showed.”
