The Mount Ambrose Inn in Redruth staged a 12-hour pool marathon raising over £700 for Spectrum, an Autism charity based in Cornwall.
Over the 12-hour period many local individuals, as well as several Spectrum service users and staff, joined in with the event. Martyn, one of Spectrums service users, even played a few frames in the mammoth Pool marathon. It was a great event enjoyed by everyone.
Rob Gordon the landlord said he was very pleased with the turn out and generosity of those involved, and overwhelmed by the support from the charity.
This year the money raised by Mount Ambrose Inn will be used to purchase sensory equipment, which will enrich the lives of those who reside in one of the charities homes.
A spokesperson from Spectrum said “It was a fantastic event. Everyone involved was very generous and welcoming and we really appreciate the support from our local community”
