Police in Looe are appealing for witnesses after a van driver approached a ten-year-old girl on her way home from school on Monday 9 December.
The incident happened on Pendrim Road near the junction of Elm Tree Road in east Looe at around 3.10pm.
The schoolgirl was beckoned over towards a grey transit-sized van. She walked away and the driver beckoned her over again. The girl then ran off.
The van is believed to have driven off in the direction of Barbican Road.
The driver was described as being a white man in his early 40s with thinning grey hair.
Anyone with information that could assist in identifying this man is asked to call police on 101 quoting BE/13/737, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
