Angels are watching over Helston Methodist Church during the festive period as part of a Christmas display.

The Christmas Angel Experience has been set up in the windows of the first floor church in Coinagehall Street and is available to see until January 6.

Rev Danny Reed, the minister in charge, said the display featured different types of angel, including Helston’s guardian angel St Michael, angels from hymns and carols, and stories of angels appearing at times of need, particularly during the First World War. There are a total of 14 different exhibits.

Rev Reed said: “The aim is to help people realise what the true meaning of Christmas is about.”

The project has been led by Rev Reed himself, along with his wife Sarah, with the help of Derek and Anna Wear together with Morley and Margaret Osborne, plus other members of the church family.

To see opening times pick up a leaflet in the church foyer. The angels will be on show at a candlelit carol service taking place in the church this Friday, December 13 at 7.30pm.
