Carols, mince pies and festive cheer were on offer on Monday as crowds gathered for the Mylor Christmas lights switch-on.

The evening started with a carol service at the Lemon Arms before the switch was flicked by Ruth Andrew, widow of the founder of Mylor Lights, Tony Andrew.

The success of the lights event was put down to the tremendous support from the village and the hard work of the dedicated volunteers.
