Emily Williams’ epic fundraising efforts for the Moonlight Memory Walk certainly proved worth it when she was presented with a pamper hamper in recognition of her sterling work.

The Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) congratulated Emily, of Falmouth, for raising the most amount of sponsorship at the charity’s annual event which was held in September.

Treats Emily raised £548 for CHSW and was presented with the hamper full of treats, including L’Oreal goodies and six free haircuts donated by Rococo Hair and Beauty of Lemon Street in Truro.

The Moonlight Memory Walk in Falmouth saw 400 ladies walk five miles around the town in memory of their loved ones and raise over £35,000 for CHSW.

Sarah Stott from CHSW, said: “Fundraisers like Emily are an absolute asset for us.

“Without large donations through sponsorship like Emily’s, we just wouldn’t be able to offer families the level of care and support that we do.

“Well done Emily and well done to everyone for helping to raise that £35,000 – what an incredible amount.”

The money raised from the walk will go towards the care and support offered to children with life threatening illnesses and their families.

Little Harbour hospice at St Austell currently supports 70 families and relies on donations.
