Saturday will see up to 1,000 people dressed in Santa outfits run through the streets of Falmouth to raise money for Cornwall Hospice Care.

The festive fundraisers will take on a one and a half or two mile course around the town, with registration on the day begins at 10.30am, the warm up starting at 12.50pm ahead of the fun run beginning at 1pm.

Last year 700 Santa suit-bedecked participants ran through the streets of the town, bringing with them friends and family to cheer them along the way.

For this year's event, local businesses are getting involved too, and are working with the town council and business improvement district to make Saturday, December 14 “Super Santa-Day.”

“'We are so excited about Super Santa-Day in Falmouth and really hope that shops and businesses in the town will support the event by organising their own Santa themed fundraising activity,” said Rose.

“Businesses can get involved by having a festive raffle in their workplace, by staff wearing Santa themed fancy dress for the day for a donation, having a collection or, of course, entering a team into the Santa Fun Run itself. ''
