A morning of festive fun was put on by the women’s section of Mullion Royal British Legion when it held one of its main fundraising events.
The event took place at the women’s institute hall, as the village’s British Legion is currently closed due to the disbanding of the men’s section.
A variety of crafts were for sale, together with jewellery and other locally made items.
Visitors could also enjoy trying their luck on the tombola and raffle, with other prizes to be won through a silent auction.
The morning included a visit from Father Christmas, who gave gifts to the delighted children. The event raised £608 for the Royal British Legion Women’s Section. It will go to support the wives and dependants of servicemen.
Pat Wells, secretary of the group, said: “It was excellent. The hall was absolutely packed. Thanks to the village for supporting us.”
The Christmas event is one of two main fundraisers held by the group, led by chairman Karen Crawford, with the second at Easter.
