Visitors to a fundraising festive fair in Constantine on Saturday were treated to a raft of stalls and Christmas carols by young singers from the village primary school.

The event at the Tolmen Centre was organised by the school’s parent and teacher association and the pre-school as was packed with well wisher keen to pick up a bargain and support the school.

Assistant headteacher Caroline Gilbert said the organisers did a “wonderful job again this year, with many stalls, Christmas crafts, hot bacon rolls, tea, coffee and cakes along with great entertainment from the School Choir and ukuleles.

She added: “Father Christmas even paid a visit and was kept busy for several hours up in his grotto. Many people came along and we hope to have raised some money too.”
