Firefighters in Cornwall have warned drivers to take care and not enter floodwater when driving, as the county faces an onslaught of foul weather.
The warning comes after crews in Launceston and Callington had a busy evening yesterday helping vehicles trapped in floodwater.
A spokesman said that Fire and Rescue crews attended a number of calls where people have been caught in their vehicles in rising floodwater on the roads.
Adding that heavy rain resulted in deep water in some places and a number of vehicles were involved, with firefighters helping several people from their vehicles to a place of safety.
A spokesman said none of these situations were life threatening, but are reminding drivers not enter flood water where they cannot be sure of the depth or of a safe exit.
