One of Porthleven’s longest serving coastguards has been rewarded for his dedication with a prestigious medal.
Tony Strike has been a member of Porthleven coastguards and cliff rescue team for 30 years.
He was honoured at the group’s annual Christmas party, held on Saturday at Kota Kai.
Mr Strike was presented with his award by Matt Pavitt, coastguard sector manager.
He was thanked for being a valued member of the team, who had helped rescue countless people in need over the years.
Mr Strike’s wife Sharon was also presented with flowers, as a thank you for the support she had given him in his coastguard role over the last three decades.
