Fire fighters yesterday rescued a motorist trapped in a car on the A3071 at Newbridge, halfway between Penzance and St Just, just after midnight on Saturday morning.
Crews were called from both towns at 12.15am, along with the rescue tender from Camborne, to reports that a car had been in collision with a wall.
The fire service said: "One person was trapped and firefighters used crash rescue equipment to release them by 12.45am. The casualty was conveyed to hospital by ambulance."
