Redruth Amateur Musical Pantomime Society, or RAMPS, will be returning home to The Regal Theatre next month to perform Dick Whittington and His Cornish Cat.

During The Regal’s refurbishment and the internal reconstruction of the theatre RAMPS have been performing at St Johns Hall in Penzance but were asked back to The Regal by Geoff Greaves to stage their 2014 pantomime back in Redruth.

RAMPS engaged script writer Philip Meeks to write Dick Whittington, and he has come up with a bell-ringing swashbuckling action-packed pantomime, with Dick and his faithful cat Tommy taking the audience on a journey of cheeky giggles and family friendly innuendo. After surviving rats, shipwrecks and Moroccan apes Dick returns to Redruth triumphant.

The pantomime runs from January 15 to January 19 at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday 18 and a matinee and extra 11am performance on Sunday 19. Tickets can be booked in person at The Regal in Redruth; on 01209216278 or online at www.merlincinemas.co.uk
