Almost 150 swimmers took an icy dip in the sea at Coverack to start their Christmas Day.
The annual festive swim was raising money, as always, for Cancer Research UK.
This year the event had a theme for the first time. This led to various Pink Ladies and T-Birds from the film Grease splashing around the in water – although the usual festive fancy dress was also on show.
Among the swimmers this year was comedian David Baddiel, a regular to the swim, as well as Chris Chittell who plays Eric Pollard on Emmerdale, in what is believed to be his first time at the event.
This year’s swim has already raised around £4,000, with more still coming in.
In total, the event has raised almost £100,000 since it began 45 years ago.
