Police are asking for help from the public after commercial premises on Church Street, Falmouth, was targeted by burglars, with a cash and a safe stolen, and the safe later found dumped at a picturesque beach.

Police are appealing for help from the public after the thieves forced their way into the premises between 9pm and midnight on December 29.

The burglars made their way up a stairway in an adjoining alleyway before forcing open fire doors and taking items from a downstairs office.

The safe, cash alongside CCTV equipment was taken, estimated to be worth £2,000 in total.

Officers say the safe was later found dumped on Durgan Beach, near Mawnan Smith.
