A Helston theatre will benefi to the tune of more than £1,100, raised by festive shoppers at one Helston supermarket.
Customers visit Sainsbury’s were invited to buy raffle tickets in aid of the Epworth Hall.
They had the chance of winning one of 20 large hampers containing food and items donated by businesses in the town.
The draw took place on the Saturday before Christmas, making some families’ Christmases extra merry this year.
Mark Upton, chairman of the hall, said: “We were really pleased. We’d like to thank Paula Julian at her store colleagues for running the raffle, and Fred Angove for helping.”
The Epworth Hall will continue to be Sainsbury’s local charity to fundraise for until April 2014.
All the money raised over the course of the year will go towards creating better disabled access at the hall in Coinagehall Street.
