UPDATE: Urgent repairs are underway to the water supply in the Mawnan area this morning. Repairs are expected to take four to six hours.

The area affected includes Mawnan Smith and homes out towards Helford and Port Navas, north towards Budock Water.

The reduced water pressure has been caused by a burst water main, with a repair team out carrying out work.

No timescale has been given for the repair.

South West Water says that supplies in this area may be disrupted and when the supply is restored there may be a temporary change in the colour of your water.

This should quickly clear, helped by running the cold water supply at the kitchen sink.

A spokesman said: "We would like to thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
