Godolphin Primary School’s acting headteacher is now taking up the post permanently.
The school’s governing body announced last week that Lucy Wandless had now joined them on a full-time basis.
Chair of governors Andrew Rowland said: “I feel that this is a very exciting time for the school and a great way to start the New Year.
“Lucy has made a huge impact since joining us in September as acting headteacher; we look forward to her leading the school forward in the future.”
Lucy taught at St Columb Major for four years before moving to Roche CP School as deputy head, where she worked for ten and a half years.
She said: “I am delighted to have been chosen as head at Godolphin Primary School and am very excited about working in such a friendly and popular school.”
