Penryn Netball Club had a victory off the court lastweekend after raising £226 in Falmouth Town Centre.

The club was at Harbour Lights fish and chip shop on Sunday for a fundraising event, and their new sponsors Atkins Ferrie dropped by to present them with their new kit.

Customers who presented a Penryn Netball Club flyer when they bought food or drink saw 20% of the price donated to the team, with between 50 and 60 people turning out in support.

Harbour Lights owners Pete and Sue Fraser made a total of £150 in donations for the club, while a further £76 was raised with a raffle.

Jackie Tresidder, the team’s coach, said: “It’s great to have two local |companies supporting our netball club.”
