Charity fundraisers are dancing to the tune of more than £840 raised through their efforts with a line dance marathon in Helston.

The Chance to Dance event with Wyn and Merv Groombridge was held at the Godolphin Club in aid of children’s hospice Little Harbour in St Austell.

Over the course of eight hours, volunteer line dancers both young and old raised a total of £842.80.

To help with the amount, stalls selling cake and bric-a-brac were set up throughout the day and a |raffle was held.

Wyn and Merv said: “We would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who helped us and those who attended the day, and to the Godolphin Club for the free use of their hall.”

Line dancing classes are held every Monday evening at the Godolphin Club, from 7.15pm until 9.15pm, plus Wednesday evenings at Carleen Village Hall from 7pm until 9.30pm.
