Ten crimes were reported in Porthleven during December – compared to 12 in the same month last year.

Alcohol was stolen from the supermarket, a bicycle was taken from the primary school, damage was caused to a gazebo on the Harbour Head and there was also criminal damage to a bird table.

Four vehicles were damaged – including scratches and smashed windscreens – but it is not known if the incidents were linked. In an unrelated crime, a fight broke out between two men due to damage caused to a vehicle.

A vehicle stop resulted in a person being found with cannabis, for personal use.
