Two men and a woman have been sent to Truro Crown Court to stand trial on a charge of concealing, disguising, converting, transferring or removing criminal property, namely £319,637.

Peter Gifford, 47, and Penelope Anne Lawton, 50, of Watersmead Parc in Budock, and John Girdlestone, 74, of Carnes Court in Emslie Road, Falmouth, did not enter pleas to the charge when they appeared before magistrates in Truro last week.

The charges releate to alledged offences which were said to have been committed between September 2010 and Janaury 2012,

Girdlestone also faces a second charge of failing to disclose details of money laundering and again entered no plea.

The case against all three was sent to Truro Crown Court where they are due to appear on February 7.
