Plans for 153 new homes on land off Bickland Water Road in Falmouth are due to go before Cornwall Council’s west sub-area planning committee in Penzance on February 10.

The application from Midas Commercial Developments Ltd, which also includes the creation of estate roads and an area of public open space, has prompted 12 online letters of objection. Falmouth Town Council and Budock Parish Council have also lodged objections to the proposals.

Although generally I support affordable housing, in my opinion this would be completely the wrong location, and does not include sufficient rectifiable infrastructure plans. I will be interested to see which way the west sub-area planning committee of Cornwall Council vote on this one.

100% agree with you, and i am sure all right minded people will also agree that there are other areas more suitable for new build homes.
