Adam Thouless, of Bosmeor Road in Falmouth, has been placed under curfew on Saturday and Sunday nights for the next six weeks after he admitted an offence of criminal damage when before magistrates last week.
The 22-year-old had pleaded guilty to causing £200 worth of damage to a Citroen Saxo belonging to Kierran Denning on October 13 last year.
In addition to the curfew, which states he has to be at home between 7.30pm and 7.30am at weekends until February 22, Thoulass was ordered to pay £200 compensation, £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
