The official count of the money collected during the Cornish Harmony Choir’s Christmas Eve performance in Falmouth was carried out last week and confirmed that £1,110.13 had been donated.
The choir’s committee will be topping that total up from its own funds, meaning £300 will be presented to the four chosen charities – Falmouth Stroke Club, Falmouth Mission to Seafarers, Falmouth Befriending Service and Falmouth Town Council’s festival fund.
The presentations will take place on February 1 at Falmouth Bowling Club, which is providing its function room free of charge. The bar will be open from 7pm and entertainment will be |provided by Treverva Male Voice Choir. All are welcome to attend to support the choir, which has entertained the Christmas crowds for 113 years.
