Falmouth councillors are supporting local residents in their battle against plans to build a chalet bungalow on the site of a garage in Trevethan Road.

Residents were represented at the planning committee meeting by Sean McDonnell who said the proposals were “not sympathetic to the needs or requirements of the area” and would exacerbate parking problems in the area.

Councillors agreed and are recommending Cornwall Council refuse the application because of the proposed bungalow’s size and design and the lack of parking in the area.
