It is the final call for members of the public to return consultation forms looking at the future of Helston.

Questionnaires were sent out to every house in the town, asking for residents’ views on what the priorities should be for physical improvements to the town centres.

Filled in booklets must now be returned to the Guildhall before 5pm on Monday (February 17).

There is a box just inside the main entrance doors to the Guildhall, or the forms can be dropped into the town centre management office, on the Church Street side.

The deadline has been extended from tomorrow (Thursday) to make sure as many forms as possible are returned.

The results will be used to help decide how to spend £250,000, which was given by Tesco and Sainsbury’s to offset any negative impact on the town centre, when they built new stores in Helston.

Suggestions from an initial public meeting, held last October, include pedestrianising Meneage Street for parts of the day, creating more on-street parking in Coinagehall Street, developing areas for events and markets, and improving signage in the town.
