Police are trying to trace two men wanted in connection with a burglary at a Post Office in Falmouth.

Offenders broke in and stole the safe from the Post Office in Boslowick Road some time between 1am and 4am on Tuesday, February 18.

Police were quickly on the scene and the safe was recovered, however an extensive amount of damage was caused to the premises.

A man was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged in connection with the offence.

Dene Tregidgo, 22, of North Parade, Falmouth, appeared before Truro Magistrates’ Court today (19 February) and pleaded guilty to burglary. He was remanded in prison to await sentence at Truro Crown Court on 20 March.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify two other men who were seen leaving the scene in the direction of the garages and fields behind the premises.

The suspects were wearing hooded tops; one was light grey with distinctive triangular pattern shapes and the other was dark grey.

Anyone who has information about the men or saw anyone acting suspiciously, particularly in muddy clothing or footwear, around 4am on 18 February, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime number GP/14/298.
