Perranporth beach was closed on Saturday while navy bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled explosion on an old bomb.
This video, posted on Youtube by Ivor Thomson shows the moment it went up.
The bomb was discovered by a walker just after 2.30pm, with the beach closed while the Royal Navy experts carried out a controlled explosion.
