Students in Penryn were strutting their stuff on the catwalk as the college hosted its very own charity fashion show last week.

An audience of around 120 turned up to see 50 students take to the runway in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, with clothes from local retailers and products from the school’s textile classes and the fashion academy after school group.

Hair styling for the models was provided by hairdressers studying in Falmouth School’s sixth form.

Becky Williams, the event organiser, said: “This was the first fashion show I have ever organised. The outstanding facilities at Penryn College really helped make the night professional.

“It was great getting to know the students and working alongside the staff. The students had so |much energy and confidence on stage and pulled the evening off without a hitch. It was a stellar night.

“I’d like to thank Rosie Miller for helping so much in the run up to the show.”
