WHAT’S your story Camborne? That’s the question being posed to residents of the town as part of a bid to give the town a new identity.

BID Camborne, the business improvement district, launched the campaign to enable locals to have their say and get their stories heard as Camborne starts "the next chapter in its illustrious history".

Mel Martin, BID Manager for BID Camborne, said: “Camborne was once at the epi-centre of Cornwall’s mining industry and home to some of the world’s greatest engineers.

“Having given world powered road travel for passengers, thanks to Richard Trevithick’s Puffing Devil, Camborne has always been a progressive place.

“We have now started to work a new brand identity to take Camborne into the future with pride.”

“We are encouraging everyone to get involved.” Added Mel.

“Questionnaires are available at key points throughout the town and people can tell us their story and share images and ideas via Facebook, Pintrest and on Twitter using the hashtag #FutureCamborne.”

Local branding and design agency, Changing Brands are working closely with BID Camborne and will be using these stories to deliver a new, fresh image for the town.

Changing Brands have already delivered successful similar projects, including Falmouth.
