A biker that died in a Newquay crash has been named as Christopher Cusworth, 56, of St Columb.

His family paid tribute to a "loving father, brother, grandfather and friend".

They said: “In life, he was surrounded by the things he loved: his family; Jack Russells and motorbikes which were his passion.

“He will be very sadly missed by all who knew him.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal road traffic collision in Newquay on March 9.

The single-vehicle collision involving a black Aprilia 1000cc motorcycle happened at 2.20pm on the A3058 between Summercourt and Brighton Cross.
The motorcycle left the road on a bend and was in collision with a tree.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision, the rider or a group of three riders immediately before the incident to contact them.
Sergeant Jane Corkhill, of the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, said: “We are very interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area at the time, in particular driving along the B3275 or the A3058, who either witnessed the collision or saw an Aprilia motorcycle driving just prior to the incident.”
