Two men were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in a property on Bolenna Lane, Perranporth yesterday.

Six firefighters from Perranporth attended a call just after 9.30pm after a report that there had been a fire in a property and that the fire had been extinguished and items involved had been moved outside.

One fire appliance from Perranporth with six firefighters was mobilised. Fire crews confirmed that the fire was out on their arrival and the mattress involved had been removed outside the premise.

A fire service spokesman said: "Two males were treated for smoke inhalation on scene by firefighters using oxygen. Crews used one hose reel to damp down the mattress and ambulance paramedics attended to treat the casualties."
