An 81 year old man has been airlifted to Royal Cornwall Hospital from a cruise ship near the Isles of Scilly.
A spokesperson for the coastguard said: "Falmouth Coastguard provided communications for the 193 rescue helicopter during a medevac from the Isles of Scilly.
"The man was taken to Treliske by the South West ambulance service."
The man had been taken ill on the cruise ship Discovery, which was en route from the Isles of Scilly to St Peter Port in Guernsey.
