More than £2,100 has been presented to charity by the two captains of Mullion Golf Club – and more is still to come.
Each year the captain and lady captain run events throughout the year and for 2014 David Howe and Roseta Simmons have chosen to support St Julia’s Hospice, part of Cornwall Hospice Care.
Everyone in the club joins in, taking part in charity days, bring and buy stalls, raffles and quiz evenings – plus contributing to the “swear box.”
A cheque for £2,114.52 has now been presented to a representative of St Julia’s Hospice, although this figure is set to rise through another event the following weekend.
