A 28-year-old man from Perranporth has died following a crash near Newquay.

Emergency services were called to the A3075 at Goonhavern at 8.30pm on April 7 after a blue VW Golf left the road near Primrose Farm.

The driver, a local man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed for seven hours for a specialist forensic examination of the scene to take place.

Police from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the car travelling on the A3075 around the time of incident.
