A rescue operation was launched yesterday afternoon after two people fell from disused tin mine workings at Cape Cornwall.
The 52-year-old man and an eight-year-old boy fell close to 20 feet, with the man reported to have have suffered head injuries.
The man was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro by an RNAS Culdrose crew, with the boy airlifted to hospital by the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
Devon and Cornwall Police say the injuries were not life threatening.
