Councillors in Penryn will continue in their attempts to reduce the bill for outstanding rent on Permarin car park.
The council was hit with £1603 charge for underpaid rent in August after Cornwall Council had failed to carry out its annual reviews at the correct time, and met with officers to discuss a 50 percent reduction due to the late billing.
Clerk Michelle Davey told councillors that Cornwall Council had refused the request, and she suggested that Penryn offered to pay half the amount now and half in six months, while continuing discussions about reducing the final bill.
