Police are appealing for information after a man was run over following a row in a Saltash pub.

An argument between two men in the Railway Inn on Sunday, April 6 at around 9.45pm, spilled outside into a nearby car park where the suspect drove a van at the aggrieved, knocking him to the ground.

A 48-year-old man from Sheerness in Kent was treated for a broken arm following the incident.

Police are now treating the incident as grievous bodily harm and are keen to speak to the driver of the van and anyone who may have witnessed any part of the incident.

Investigating officer DC Gavin Bulley said: “The injuries sustained are quite serious and it is believed that other pub goers were present and potentially witnessed the altercation within the pub and then outside when the aggrieved was run over.”

Police officers are keen to trace the suspect who was in the pub and then drove a Ford Transit van at the victim.

Anyone with any information is asked to please call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 quoting BS/14/303.
